IRVINE, Calif.—Taco Bell is relaunching chicken wings in time for the Super Bowl. The fast-food chain’s Crispy Chicken Wings are now available as part of Taco Bell’s Ultimate GameDay Box or a la cart for a limited time.

"The Ultimate GameDay Box allows Taco Bell to compete in a space that’s been traditionally reserved for pizza and wings, in a way only this brand can," said Sean Tresvant, global chief brand officer, Taco Bell.

After a successful test in August 2020, the fast-food chain’s Crispy Chicken Wings first appeared on Taco Bell’s nationwide menu for a limited time in January 2022.

Taco Bell’s shareable Ultimate GameDay Box includes one Mexican Pizza, four Crunchy Tacos and eight Crispy Chicken Wings alongside two Spicy Ranch dipping sauces for $22. Crispy Chicken Wings also are available a la carte for $6.99 while supplies last.

Taco Bell is also introducing a “Wings Filter” in the Taco Bell app, showing which nearby restaurants have Crispy Chicken Wings available. Customers can get a free Mexican Pizza with a minimum $15 purchase only in the Taco Bell app from now through February 1.

Last May, Taco Bell successfully re-introduced its Mexican Pizza after several years off the menu. By the end of June, Taco Bell had already sold 20 million Mexican Pizzas across the U.S. The chain attributed growth in loyalty membership to customers’ desire for early access to the product. It made the item permanent in the fall.

Taco Bell also brought back its Nacho Fries nationwide for a limited time last fall and is considering adding the fries to its menu permanently, as it looks to compete with fast-food rivals such as McDonald’s.
