February 28, 2023

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Get ready to hear crucial insights on the latest aggregate financial, operational, categorical and consumer behavior data for the convenience and fuel retailing industry at the 2023 NACS State of the Industry (SOI) Summit. The event will be held April 18-20 in Dallas, Texas—a new location for the NACS SOI Summit.

Backed by 50+ years of NACS research expertise, the SOI Summit enables retailers to make better data-based decisions, benchmark their performance and identify opportunities to increase their operational efficiency and financial performance.

April 18 features a supplier-only pre-summit strategy session during the day, then a welcome reception that is open to all attendees at 5:30 p.m. Prior to the opening reception, first-time attendees are recognized by NACS leadership and the research committee at a reception that starts at 5 p.m.

April 19 is packed with a full day of events and presentations. NACS experts, industry leaders and outside experts will present data-driven insights on a range of topics, including store performance in 2022, digital marketing and the psychology of the consumer. In addition, breakout sessions will cover regional performance insights from 2022. There are networking opportunities throughout the day.

On April 20, a networking breakfast will be followed by sessions on the outlook for EVs and managing retail fuels, among other topics, before Henry Armour, NACS president and CEO, delivers closing remarks late morning.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. on April 18, summit-goers can visit the technology solutions center, where vendors from across the tech industry will present best in class technologies to enhance your business.

A Pre-Summit Strategy Session for Suppliers

On Tuesday, April 18, the SOI Summit Retailer/Stakeholder Strategy Session will offer suppliers a unique opportunity to hear directly from the industry's leading retailers in a closed, supplier-only format. Leadership from invited retailers will share top strategic initiatives and priorities and address supplier-generated topics.

The pre-summit session is closed to external media and other retailers, assuring the insights are clear and actionable and that dialogue is direct and transparent.

Separate registration is required for the event at $499 per person. It’s open to supplier members only, with a limit of two seats per member company. Hunter Club Gold members can register up to four attendees, and Hunter Club Silver and Bronze members can register up to three attendees. Attendees must be registered for the NACS SOI Summit to participate in this pre-event add-on opportunity.

Informational Webinars to Help You Make the Most of Your Trip

New this year for all registered attendees are three 20-minute information sessions that break down everything summit-goers need to know before arriving to make the most of the event. These sessions are free and open to anyone registered for the summit.

The first session, “Your Questions, Answered” will cover commonly asked questions about the summit. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the NACS research team anything they want to know about the event.
