Buc-ee’s, Kwik Trip and QuikTrip were ranked among the top 20 brands in Forbes inaugural 2024 Best Brands for Customer Service. Buc-ee’s was ranked No. 12 overall, with Kwik Trip coming in at 13 and QuikTrip following at 17.

For the quality of their employee interactions, Buc-ee’s and Kwik Trip were ranked fourth and sixth in the category, respectively, according to HundredX.

Wawa (95), Maverik (200), Sheetz (236) and Love’s Travel Stops (296) were also ranked on the list, which included 300 total brands.

The list was created in partnership with data analytics company HundredX, using a year-long online survey of 201,000 people in the United States with ratings on more than 3,000 brands. Brands were ranked in four different categories of customer service, including the employees who interact with customers, how long it takes the company to provide the good or service, the processes associated with the product or service and how well problems are resolved.

“Customer service is one of those areas that has historically been viewed as a cost, but our data shows that there’s an opportunity to view it as an edge,” says Rob Pace, founder and CEO of HundredX. “There’s a massive return on investment when companies focus on things that are probably within their grasp. It just requires a mindset of customer centricity.”

In September, the Wills Group, parent company of Dash In, was ranked at number 14 on the 2023 Fortune Best Workplaces in Retail list in the small and medium category. Sheetz was also recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the 20 best large workplaces in retail this year, as well as one of People Magazine’s 100 Companies That Care.
