ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Chipotle Mexican Grill is now accepting cryptocurrency as payment, partnering with Flexa, a digital payments network, according to the company. All 2,975+ Chipotle restaurants are accepting the payment, and customers can use it through a Flexa-enabled app, including Gemini or SPEDN.

“All of us here at Flexa are incredibly excited to be working alongside the Chipotle team to help further digital payments innovation and make real, healthy food even easier to enjoy. We’re looking forward to continuing to enable more payment options together very soon,” wrote Flexa.

Flexa is offering 10% off their next purchase at the restaurant until June 30 if customers use the network to pay for their order.

Though Chipotle has not officially announced the payment option, the quick-serve restaurant sent Engadget a statement, saying that the chain is "constantly exploring innovation that will enhance our guest experience, and that includes now accepting digital currency payments with Flexa in Chipotle's U.S. restaurants."

Coinsource recently announced it has partnered with Kwik Trip to roll out new Bitcoin ATMs in each of the Wisconsin-based convenience retailer’s 700+ locations across Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Coinsource said its fee is 11% nationwide, and Kwik Trip Rewards members will have access to lower rates.

Bitcoin ATMs are increasingly making their way into convenience stores, including Sheetz, Circle K, On the Run Australia and others.
