High’s Convenience Stores and Carroll Motor Fuels Grow Mid-Atlantic Footprint

The c-store retailer and fuel company have purchased seven new sites in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

BALTIMORE—High’s convenience stores and Carroll Motor Fuels acquired seven sites from GLES Inc. & Primo Properties, according to a news release.

Carroll Independent Fuel acquired three leaseholds allowing it to expand its footprint in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania. High’s will open and operate four additional sites in Delaware located in Bridgeville, Dagsboro, Dover and Selbyville.

“We are excited about the opportunity to expand Carroll Independent’s presence and to re-introduce High’s to Delaware where we can delight guests with our excellent reputation for service and customer satisfaction,” said Brad Chivington, senior vice president of High’s. “We look forward to improving the offer and amenities our customers have come to expect when they stop at our new locations in Delaware.”

High’s recently revitalized its brand across 49 stores in Maryland. Featured in NACS’ Ideas 2 Go is a flagship High’s location in Gambrills, Maryland, that incorporates the new branding and store design. The 4,800 square-foot store has 12 fueling points and offers a variety of convenience items, including High’s Heritage Ice Cream. The signature food offerings include High’s Fryers Chicken, hand-dipped ice cream, milk shakes and sundaes, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, fresh sandwiches and salads, pizza and a variety of hot and cold beverage offerings.
