ALEXANDRIA, Va.—This year, the NACS Convenience Summit Europe is bringing retail innovation, inspiration and thought leadership together on a virtual stage.
Participants will embark on a virtual discovery of progressive retail operations in Europe. Joined by leading retail executives, thought leaders, marketing innovators, analysts and academics, those attending will find out why global convenience retailers are at the forefront of creating memorable foodservice and destination experiences.
Taking place June 1-3, here are a few highlights of this year’s program:
Future of Vehicles and the Fuels That Will Power Them
Whether it’s liquid fuels or electric, customers rely on their local convenience store to fulfill their shopping occasion, often powered by the fuel their vehicle requires. How customers shop, when and where is a strategy many retailers are planning for as vehicle electrification continues to evolve, as it will impact the in-store offer to accommodate dwell times for more EV charging.
NACS President and CEO Henry Armour will sit down with Martin Roemheld, head of e-mobility services at Volkswagen; and Istvan Kapitany, executive vice president of Shell Retail; for a discussion on the future of fuels and their thoughts on how and when electrification, alternative fuels and alternative transportation will have a greater impact on the market.
