KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Pilot Flying J has added four new premium sandwiches to its breakfast menu, the company reports. Pilot Flying J's newest creations are chef-approved, made in-house daily and prepared with fresh savory eggs, rich natural cheeses and Tennessee-made Goolsby Sausage patties or Tyson bacon.
As NACS magazine reported recently, the COVID-19 pandemic put a damper on commuters’ breakfast purchases. But c-stores nationwide are refocusing on the breakfast daypart and are luring customers back with new food offerings and special pricing.
The new creations at Pilot Flying J are:
- Sausage, egg and cheese biscuit—The tried-and-true breakfast sandwich just got bigger. The new sausage is 25% larger, and the biscuit is fluffier than ever before.
- Sausage, egg and cheese croissant—This sandwich includes a premium croissant and a larger sausage patty.
- Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit—A classic breakfast sandwich with Tyson bacon and a biscuit.
- Bacon, egg and cheese French toast—This sweet and savory creation features two French toast rounds with a taste of cinnamon swirl in every bite.
“Our guests asked for an even better breakfast, and we took the challenge by introducing four new breakfast sandwiches that give an extra satisfying start to the day," said Shannon Johnson, senior executive chef, Pilot Flying J. "When you're on the road, a fresh meal made with quality ingredients is all the fuel you need to reach your destination. With these new additions to our unexpectedly awesome menu, there's no debate that our breakfast is worth stopping for."
The new menu items are now available from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. each day at more than 300 participating travel centers across the country.
