ATLANTA—RaceTrac is offering essential workers a free month of the RaceTrac Rewards VIP program when they sign up between now and August 31. The monthly fuel subscription program gives members a 10 cents per gallon discount on the first 40 gallons and three cents per gallon thereafter each month with each fuel purchase. The subscription fee is regularly $2.49 per month.

The VIP program is a premium add-on to RaceTrac’s loyalty program, which gives various coupons and promotions on RaceTrac in-store products. The retailer will give a free month to all essential workers as recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a way of saying thank you to those working hard to serve their communities throughout the pandemic.

Current RaceTrac Rewards members can upgrade their membership online or via the RaceTrac mobile app, while non-members can sign up online to become a RaceTrac Rewards member.

RaceTrac rolled out the RaceTrac Rewards VIP in June. In April, the chain launched its new online ordering platform, which allows guests to select and order items from RaceTrac and pickup within 30 minutes from the “Grab and Go Box” pass-through window.
