ALEXANDRIA, Va.—With 2020 a presidential election year, it’s more important than ever to connect with Capitol Hill on the issues concerning the convenience and fuel retail industry. NACS makes this easy with its annual Day on the Hill. This year’s event will be March 10-11 in Washington, D.C.

“2020 will be an exciting year to be in D.C., with the presidential election and the possibility of a changing Congress. It’s important for our issues to stay relevant and top of mind to legislators as they go back and campaign in their home districts,” said Annie Gauthier, CFO/Co-CEO for St. Romain Oil.

There’s a lot happening on Capitol Hill right now, which gives retailers an exciting opportunity to influence decisions that will impact their business. NACS staff provide primers on how to stay engaged with Congress both during and after the event.

“During NACS Day on the Hill, we’re given a behind the scenes look at how decisions in our government get made, and we have the opportunity to connect with members of Congress who can become champions for our industry,” Gauthier said.

Registration for the 2020 NACS Day on the Hill is open now until Feb. 17.
