IRVING, Texas—7-Eleven has been busy behind the scenes working to create ways for consumers to have a semblance of normalcy and social interaction in their daily lives, despite social distancing procedures in place across the nation by partnering with Peeps and the NFL.
For the holiday season, Peeps, the traditional Easter-time candy, is coming to 7-Eleven in the form of a bright yellow coffee beverage dubbed the Peeps Marshmallow Latte, reports Delish.com.
Described as “the cutest, sweetest, yellowest, marshmallowiest latte you’ve ever had,” the drink tastes a bit like the recently released Peeps Slurpee, but “kicked up a notch,” according to reports. This limited-time offer is an exclusive for 7-Eleven and is in the process of rolling out to stores nationwide.
Meanwhile for football fans, the chain has partnered with the Washington Redskins to present live coverage of the National Football League’s 2020 draft, according to Adweek.
The Virtual Draft Party, as it’s been named, will kick off on the club’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube starting Thursday, April 23 and will run through Sunday, April 25. In addition to real-time information, fans can interact with the show and possibly win prizes when they sign up online.
“We hope the NFL Draft will be a source of joy and excitement for fans who welcome some distraction during these extremely challenging times,” said Ron Rivera, head coach of the Redskins. “The Virtual Draft Party is meant to be a celebration that will create a sense of unity for Redskins fans as we continue this fight together, while understanding that we have a responsibility to do the right thing by not celebrating together physically.”
To improve fans’ enjoyment of the draft, 7-Eleven is offering foods, such as pizza and wings, beer in participating markets and other items to enjoy during their Virtual Draft Parties. Merchandise is available for pickup in-store or via free, contactless delivery using the promo code FREE4U upon checkout.
