PHILADELPHIA—Just Born Quality Confections has shut down production at two Pennsylvania facilities through at least April 7, CandyIndustry.com reports. The company is also shuttering its Peeps & Company Store as well.

“Most of our office associates have been working remotely since March 18, but now all associates will work from home through at least April 7,” the company said in a statement posted online. “All associates will continue to be paid throughout this time period. We will take this opportunity to further clean and sanitize our production facilities, offices and corporate headquarters.”

Just Born also indicated that all of its Peeps had been produced and shipped to retailers for the Easter season, and that it has a short-term inventory of Mike and Ike, Hot Talames and Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews. “We will continue to work with our retail partners to ensure that the fans of our brands can continue to enjoy them during this challenging time,” the company said.
