PHILADELPHIA—For a limited time, Wawa is bringing back its first, personalized beer, along with three new ones, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. In 2018, the chain collaborated with 2SP Brewing Co. for Winter Reserve Coffee Stout, made with its Winter Reserve Coffee.
“Last year, Wawa only did it in the Philadelphia five-county area,” said Mike Contreras, director of sales and marketing at 2SP. “This year, we wanted to make it more special. We got to bring our friends and neighbors in.”
Winter Reserve Coffee Stout will be available in certain Florida, Pennsylvania and Virginia stores. Several locations will also have three new blends: Snowbird Reserve Vanilla Porter, Reserve Reserve and Coffee Cake Reserve Stout.
Wawa is launching the new brews with a multi-state “Beer Tour” that will make three stops in Pennsylvania, one in Virginia and one in Florida between now and February. The first free samples will be handed out on Dec. 6 in Chadds Ford, Pa. Winter Reserve and Reserve Reserve will be sold at the Chadds Ford and Middletown Township Wawas, as well as at beer retailers in Delaware, New Jersey and southern Pennsylvania.
2SP collaborated with Hardywood Park Craft Brewery on Coffee Cake Reserve, which will be available at Richmond, Va. area Wawas. Meanwhile, 2SP worked with Coppertail Brewing on developing Snowbird Reserve, which will be sold at Florida Wawas.
Wawa isn’t the only retailer with its own beer. Kwik Trip recently debuted its Glazer Beer.
