ALEXANDRIA, Va.—What’s the best way to let Congress know how legislation hurts or helps your business? By telling them your story in person at the 2020 NACS Day on the Hill. This year’s event will be held on March 10-11 in Washington, D.C.
This annual event helps both big and small retailers connect with their congressional representatives and gives them tips on how advocate for their business. “The conference gives retailers an opportunity to share the impact legislation has or will have on their business with lawmakers,” said Julie Jackowski, NACS Chairman of the Board and Casey’s General Stores SVP, Corporate General Counsel & Secretary. “Through Day on the Hill, NACS makes it easy for retailers to be well-versed on the issues and relay that to their representatives.”
Once a retailer signs up to attend, NACS schedules the congressional meetings, prepares on-site briefing materials and offers training for successful interactions. “This conference provides each attendee with a better understanding of current industry issues, how they directly affect the way they do business, and how they are being legislated,” Jackowski said. “It also brings together retailers in our industry who face the same challenges and issues. I highly recommend other retailers take advantage of this opportunity to be part of the conversation—and have a hand in protecting their business and the convenience store industry.”
Registration for the 2020 NACS Day on the Hill is open now until February 17, 2020.
