Pilot is “modernizing the ordering experience at Pilot’s fast-food restaurants by adopting the same brand-recognized technology platforms used by our restaurant partners,” according to the retailer.
The rollout is complete at Wendy’s and Arby’s locations and is underway at Subway locations across its network. Pilot has installed 156 self-order kiosks in 78 Wendy’s locations across North America.
Pilot said the upgrades “create a more connected experience that brings together in-store ordering, mobile apps, loyalty programs and third-party delivery services.”
The retailer partnered with Wendy’s, Arby’s and Subway to install the QSRs’ preferred ordering technology platforms at its travel centers, bringing the brands’ digital ordering experience to Pilot customers, including mobile ordering capabilities, loyalty program participation and access to brand promotions and offers where available.
“As guest expectations continue to evolve, Pilot is committed to delivering the same convenient, technology-enabled experience travelers enjoy at their favorite restaurant brands. By bringing our quick-service restaurant partners' preferred digital ordering platforms into our travel centers, we're enhancing convenience, improving speed of service and creating a more consistent guest experience,” said Senior Director, Restaurant Relations and E-Commerce, Pilot Gemma Patterson.
Earlier this year, Pilot introduced its new proprietary food brand, Pilot eats, to its travel centers across North America.
The company introduced two distinct concepts, Pilot eats and Pilot eats Express, to keep consistency across locations for how its food looks, feels and travels, the company said.
