Georgia-based Parker’s Kitchen recently donated $100,000 to support Augusta, Georgia-area public schools and “help reduce food insecurity across the region,” according to a press release sent to NACS.

Parker’s Kitchen Founder and Executive Chairman Greg Parker presented a total of $60,000 in Fueling the Community donations to Superintendents from Richmond County School System, Columbia County School District and Aiken County Public Schools at the Rotary Club of Augusta luncheon at Enterprise Mill in Augusta.

The company donates a portion of all gas sold on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools through the Fueling the Community Program. Since the program’s inception in 2011, Parker’s Kitchen said it has raised more than $3.5 million to support education in communities the company serves.

In addition, Parker’s Kitchen donated $40,000 to Golden Harvest Food Bank to help “reduce food insecurity for Central Savannah River Area (CRSA) residents.” The company presented a donation from its recent round-up campaign supporting food banks across Georgia and South Carolina. The company matched 25% of every customer donation to amplify the impact of the round-up campaign, it said.

“At Parker’s Kitchen, we want to be a great neighbor and to support the causes that matter most to our customers across the CRSA community,” said Parker. “When you shop at Parker’s Kitchen, you know your money is staying local and helping to make a positive impact right here in Augusta.”
