Retailers Celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is this week, September 13-19, and retailers are celebrating the occasion with special offers.

Dolly Parton’s Tennessean Travel Stop is celebrating professional drivers with perks and complimentary offers at the Cornersville, Tennessee location. The free perks include:

• Retail Store: Free self-serve Cup of Ambition Coffee.
• Cup of Ambition Coffee Shop: Free 2-scoop hand-dipped ice cream.
• DLY BBQ Grab & Go: Free pulled pork or brisket sandwich, small Lay’s Classic chips and fountain drink.
• Restaurant Dining: Truckers can skip the line and visit the Restaurant Host Stand for access to reserved seating, exclusively for truckers.

RaceTrac is “dedicating four weeks to the people who keep the country stocked” by offering professional drivers registered in RaceTrac’s Rewards program and RaceTrac app special perks September 2-30.

RaceTrac’s official Truck Driver Appreciation Month promotions include:

• One free pizza slice per week
• One free fountain drink per week
• One free Reign, Bang, Nos or Full Throttle 16 oz per week

The offers are redeemable at RaceTrac Travel Center and Extended Diesel Offer stores for qualified guests who select “semi-truck” under “professional” in their driver profile on the app.

Pilot is celebrating truckers with special offers and the return of its annual Road Warrior contest. Nominations for this year’s Road Warrior contest are now open, and one professional driver will be recognized with a Kenworth W990 truck customized by the Diesel Brothers and a $50,000 cash prize.

Throughout September, Pilot will also offer in-app deals and host events at select travel centers, such as professional drivers can enjoy three free drinks and a snack each week throughout September for Driver Appreciation Month.

At Rutter’s, the retailer is offering professional truck drivers a free drink each day of Truck Driver Appreciation Week, the retailer said in a press release. CDL-licensed truck drivers can enjoy a free hot coffee, fountain drink, or slushie of any size each day at all Rutter’s locations.

To redeem the offer, drivers must present a valid CDL license to the cashier at checkout. Each driver is eligible for one free beverage daily during the seven-day celebration.

Meanwhile, Love’s Travel Stops is celebrating professional drivers with exclusive deals through the Love’s Rewards App, a spokesperson for the company told NACS. All offers are exclusive to professional drivers.
