During the General Sessions, NACS debuts its newest Ideas 2 Go videos. They profile convenience retailers that are breaking the mold with innovative ideas or operating at a high standard of excellence. From innovative foodservice offers to enhancing the customer experience, these retailers are operating the convenience store of tomorrow. Over the years, Ideas 2 Go has featured hundreds of interviews with convenience retailers in nearly every U.S. state and multiple countries.

This year, NACS visited five stores:

Sprint Mart: Fulton, Mississippi

Customers in the south are “running with the best” at Sprint Mart. This newly built 13,500-square-foot store serves locals, travelers and truck drivers with high-quality staples and amenities. A highlight: the “bestrooms” and the store’s fresh food program with some of the biggest chicken tenders you can find around.

Chestnut Market: White Plains, New York

Chestnut Market’s the “Hutch” store on the Hutchinson Parkway in Westchester County, about 25 miles outside of New York City, is passed by 100,000 drivers per day. With a high influx of customers, the retailer focuses on tight execution and speed of service.

Reeder’s: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Family-led business Reeder’s is a local favorite in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has existed in the town for generations. The retailer offers unique, trending items inspired by social media and was an early adopter of the squishy toy craze. It also differentiates itself with fresh-prepared food made daily by an in-house chef.

Spinx: Greenville, South Carolina

Built in 2024, The Spinx Market & Eatery in downtown Greenville is an elevated convenience concept and new format for the retailer offering fresh, artisanal food and grab-and-go items. It sets itself apart with a variety of everyday essentials, from toiletries to souvenirs in addition to featuring seasonal, local items year-round.

Weigel’s: Knoxville, Tennessee

An established local player in eastern Tennessee, Weigel’s is known for its commitment to the community and its variety of milk flavors that draw on its roots as a dairy. The nearly 100-store retailer recently opened a commissary facility to centralize the production of its fresh food.

Check out the videos when they premiere during the General Session on Thursday, October 8 at 10:15 a.m.
