Weigelʼs has launched Trike.co across its stores, commissary and dairy, “bringing employee training, policy acknowledgments and daily operational checklists into one platform,” the retailer said.

Weigel’s said the rollout went live October 1 and replaces three separate vendor systems, giving team members a “single place” to access the information and tools they need for their work.

“As Weigelʼs expands into new communities and grows its food production operations, the company is investing in tools that make onboarding easier and help teams follow consistent standards across locations,” the retailer said.

Weigelʼs loaded more than a thousand of its own policies, procedures and training files into Trike. Procedures are searchable, QR codes posted on equipment and at workstations pull up the right procedure on the spot, and a connection to Weigelʼs payroll and HR system automatically assigns the right training as employees are hired, transferred or promoted.

The platform also includes an AI assistant that helps employees find answers using Weigelʼs approved policies and procedures. Team members can access guidance during any shift, including overnight when support staff may be less readily available.

“We wanted to make it easier for our team members to learn their jobs and find the information they need,” said Brad Anderson, director of recruiting and development at Weigelʼs. “Bringing these tools together helps us support new employees and gives experienced team members a resource they can use throughout their shift.”

In other recent Weigel’s news, the retailer expanded the role of its MyWeigel’s Rewards with the launch of Badges, a new gamification feature “designed to give customers another way to interact with the brand.”

“Badges add a new layer to loyalty that goes beyond points and discounts. Customers can now earn digital recognition for the ways they shop with Weigel’s, creating a visual collection that can be viewed and shared while giving customers another reason to stay active within MyWeigel’s Rewards,” the retailer said.
