Wawa is set to open its first store in the state of Tennessee in Clarksville next month, according to local outlet Clarksville Now.
“On Thursday, June 18, Tennessee will be added to that list with Wawa’s grand opening in Clarksville at 1290 Parkway PIace, off 101st Airborne Division Parkway just west of Peachers Mill Road. This will be the company’s first of six stores slated to open in Tennessee in 2026, which also plays a part in Wawa’s 10-year plan to open 50 locations in the state,” the outlet wrote.
“We are excited to bring our unique combination of fresh food and beverage, convenience and service to Tennessee for the very first time,” said Brian Schaller, president of Wawa. “This historic milestone marks expansion to our 14th state, and our ongoing growth allows us to create new jobs, strengthen community partnerships and fulfill more lives.”
Utah-based Holiday Oil is continuing its “growth along the Wasatch Front [region in Utah] with the opening of a new location in West Jordan, marking the company’s 78th store overall and its eighth in the city,” Holiday Oil said in a press release sent to NACS.
Holiday Oil said the new store will feature a drive-thru and tunnel car wash.
To celebrate the new store, Holiday Oil will host a grand opening event on Friday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Grand opening promotions will include 50 cents off per gallon all day, a free car wash with an eight-gallon fill-up, entry to win one of five 55-inch TVs and a selection of $1 deals.
TravelCenters of America (TA), part of the BP portfolio, recently opened two new locations in Texas: TA Vernon and TA Express Belton.
TA said the new sites expand TA’s footprint in the region and provide professional drivers and travelers with convenient access to fuel, food and rest along key Texas highways.
The Vernon location features 76 truck parking spaces while the Belton location has 55 truck parking spaces.
Meanwhile in New York, Stewart’s Shops opened a new store in Dexter. “Stewart’s opened its newest store at the former Dexter Market at 308 Brown Street in Dexter last week following a two-month renovation. Located west of Watertown, near the banks of the Black River and eastern shores of Lake Ontario, the Dexter shop adds another close-knit community to the Stewart’s market area,” the retailer said.
Stewart’s said the Dexter location represents a $2.5 million investment in the community and serves as an important piece of Stewart’s expansion throughout northern New York.
To celebrate the opening of the new shop, Stewart’s will hold a grand opening event with food and drink specials on May 29. To commemorate the event, Stewart’s will donate $1,000 and $500 in gift certificates to General Brown High School and $1,000 to the Dexter Free Library.
