Family-owned c-store chain double kwik, which serves communities across eastern Kentucky and southwest Virginia, has launched online ordering through Lula Direct, according to a press release from Lula sent to NACS.

Lula said the launch gives double kwik customers the ability to browse store inventory, place orders online and access exclusive promotions through a branded first-party digital storefront that reflects the double kwik experience. Customers who order online from double kwik can earn points toward their rewards program the same way they would shopping in-store.

According to the release, orders flow directly to the store, customer data stays with the retailer and the platform can be customized to reflect each chain's unique branding and product mix.

"We’ve partnered with Lula on other initiatives, and their attention to detail, strong communication and innovative approach make them an exceptional partner,” said Corey Stump, category manager at double kwik. “The entire Lula team has felt like a true extension of our own since day one and has been incredibly helpful throughout the process. Lula Direct is helping us expand how we serve our customers across channels, giving them a seamless way to order their favorite items directly through our app and online.”

Lula launched the Lule Direct platform in 2025. The company describes it as “the AI-powered, first-party ordering platform purpose-built to help retailers take control of their digital storefronts.”

"Consumers expect retailers to provide an online ordering experience in a digital-first world, but most convenience stores struggle to find the time and resources as labor costs rise," Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Lula Commerce Tom Falzani said at the time of launch. "Lula Direct changes that with features that save time, cut costs and drive revenue."

NACS serves the global convenience and fuel retailing industry by providing industry knowledge, connections and issues leadership to ensure the competitive viability of its members’ businesses.
