South Carolina-based The Spinx Company recently hosted PepsiCo’s Rolling Remembrance relay stop on Monday, April 28 at Spinx #297 in Greenville, the retailer told NACS.
The Spinx Company said the ceremony honors fallen U.S. service members while raising awareness and support for military families through the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
During the event, Spinx made a $5,000 donation to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
“First started by PepsiCo in 2015, Rolling Remembrance is a 14,000+ mile long relay of a war flown American flag from Seattle to New York to benefit Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. Using normal business routes, PepsiCo's extensive network of U.S. military veteran drivers will pass off a flag to each other at different relay points,” the retailer said.
The Spinx Company said the flag was on a UH-60M Blackhawk Helicopter on a combat mission in support of U.S. and Coalition ground forces in the Kandahar Province of Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012.
In other recent Spinx news, earlier this year the retailer selected Tote, an AI point-of-sale platform built specifically for fuel and convenience retail, to provide point-of-sale, self-service kiosks and foodservice technology across all its locations.
“The deployment, going live in [the second half of] 2026, will provide Spinx with integrated point-of-sale and foodservice technology, including self-service kiosks and kitchen display systems, that run on the chain's existing hardware infrastructure. Tote's hardware-agnostic approach allows retailers to modernize without replacing existing terminals, reducing implementation risk and cost while maintaining operational continuity,” Tote said in a press release.
