McDonald’s Launches K-Pop Demon Hunters LTO Meals

McDonald’s unveiled its new LTO K-pop Demon Hunters character-themed meals, which are available beginning March 31. The QSR said the campaign brings “flavors from McDonald’s restaurants in South Korea, connecting fans to the film through taste.”

The Saja Boys breakfast meal features the Spicy Saja McMuffin (a sausage McMuffin with egg, topped with a peppery Spicy Saja Sauce), hash browns and a soda.

The HUNTR/X meal includes a 10-piece chicken McNuggets, medium soft drink and three limited-time menu items:

• Ramyeon McShaker Fries: “A spicy, umami spin on our world famous fries featuring a soy, garlic, sesame and spice seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning into the McShaker bag, add fries and shake for a bold taste that’s true to South Korean flavors,” said McDonald’s.
• Hunter Sauce: “A sweet chili sauce mixing notes of chili, garlic and pepper.”
• Demon Sauce: “A bold mustard sauce with heat and tang—made purple, just like demon patterns.”

Along with the new meals, the QSR is also launching a new McFlurry flavor, the Derpy McFlurry, which “blends creamy vanilla soft serve with berry popping pearls, enrobed in a wild berry sauce.”

Over at Wendy’s, the QSR is teaming up with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to bring the DC Universe to kids' meals with an “exclusive, limited-time DC Rides Kids' Meal featuring 12 iconic DC collectible toys.”

The meal toys feature Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Supergirl, Zur-En-Arrh, Bizarro, Artemis, Sinestro, Reverse Flash and Bizarro Supergirl.

Meanwhile, Taco Bell is asking fans to decide which “internationally beloved Taco Bell creation should make its stateside debut through the first-ever Global Taco Vote.”

The contenders are the Kickin’ Chicken Taco from Thailand and the Butter Chicken Taco from India.

• Kickin’ Chicken Taco (Thailand): “A craveable combination of crispy chicken strips, lettuce, a blend of mozzarella, pepperjack and cheddar cheeses, freshly prepared daily pico de gallo, and the unique Spicy Kickin’ sauce made with a blend of cheeses and flavorful spices, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.”
• Butter Chicken Taco (India): “Inspired by one of India’s most popular dishes, this taco is filled with shredded slow-roasted chicken simmered in tomato cream-based sauce with bold spices and Indian-inspired flavors, and topped with onion and cilantro, lettuce and cheddar cheese all wrapped in a fried chalupa shell.”

From March 26 through April 1, U.S. rewards members can cast their vote daily in the Taco Bell app to decide which global taco earns a spot on U.S. menus for a limited time this year.
