New York-based Stewart’s Shops is introducing cold foam, a new item to top off iced coffee or cold brew drinks.
“Our new sweet and creamy cold foam can be found at the cone counter and is the perfect addition to your daily Stewart’s Shops coffee,” the retailer said. “Cold foam is a smooth, creamy foam that sits on top of iced coffee or cold brew, adding a smooth, lightly sweet, velvety finish to every sip,” the retailer said. The cold foam will be located at the retailer’s ice cream counter.
In late 2025, Starbucks added protein cold foam to its menus. The protein cold foam adds about 15 grams of protein per grande to any cold beverage. Iced beverages with protein cold foam were added to the permanent menu.
Research shows that younger consumers favor cold drinks and customizable beverages. According to a Westrock Coffee report, nearly 60% of Gen Z coffee drinkers were introduced to the category through cold coffee. And, The National Coffee Association reports that 49% of the coffee cups drunk each day among those aged 18-24 are cold, iced or frozen, and that trend keeps growing.
In addition, more than half of all cold coffee servings are drunk in the afternoon and evening, according to Westrock, presenting opportunities for new revenue streams in what were formerly considered off-peak hours.

Additionally, Stewart’s Shops recently mailed Holiday Match checks to 1,829 organizations to support nonprofit children’s organizations across upstate New York, Vermont and western New Hampshire.
The retailer said a total of more than $1.8 million in Holiday Match funds will be used to support education, health, recreation, arts and social service programs for children under the age of 18.
