IONNA, an EV charging joint venture developed by eight automakers, recently marked a “milestone achievement” of more than 100 locations going live this week as it celebrated its second anniversary. The company said it now has more than 4,700 bays contracted nationwide, with nearly 1,500 under construction.
“We hit the ground running in 2026, energizing 212 bays with over 10 utilities, including PG&E, PSE&G and NV Energy, bringing our total count to nearly 1,000 bays live across the country,” IONNA said.
The brand said every new IONNA location that opens this year will cost $0.20/kWh for the first week.
IONNA now has over 100 different live locations nationwide, including three new, full-scale Rechargeries in Forest Park and West Point, Georgia, as well as Limon, Colorado. IONNA said a new product offering, currently under construction in Dallas, will launch in Q2 with an automated grab & go convenience store using Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology.
“Subject to each IONNA founding automaker’s launch, drivers will begin unlocking a full suite of benefits designed around real-world driving needs. These include everyday base discounts with no subscription required, plus optional layers for those who want more: complimentary new-vehicle charging credits, OEM subscriptions, loyalty rewards and pre-paid discounted cards,” IONNA said.
In July 2025, Wawa and IONNA partnered to grow the retailer’s EV charging network, constructing new Rechargeries at Wawa locations across Florida in Daytona Beach, Bradenton, Pensacola and Orlando.
At the time, the project was IONNA's single largest EV charging commitment. The addition of Rechargeries at Wawa brought IONNA closer to its goal of 30,000 bays by 2030.
