Oklahoma-based Choctaw Travel Plazas this week unveiled new updates to its Chahta Rewards program, “giving members more ways to earn and redeem points on everyday purchases,” the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.
Choctaw said rewards club members will now earn 20 points for every $1 spent on in-store purchases and 10 points per gallon of fuel purchased. Members will still receive 10 cents off every gallon of fuel purchased. Points can be redeemed for food items, drinks, branded merchandise and exclusive experiences like sporting event tickets to Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars games.
Choctaw Travel Plazas have also added fountain drink and coffee clubs. Customers who purchase five fountain drinks or drip coffees will receive the sixth for free.
“The Chahta Rewards program updates are the latest in several improvements and innovations at Choctaw Travel Plazas in the past year. Thirteen of the stores received refreshes and updated inventory, and most recently the Travel Plazas announced an exclusive partnership with Community Coffee to bring cold brew, frozen coffee beverages, lattes, cappuccinos, flavored teas and lemonades and other specialty drinks to all stores,” the retailer said.
Choctaw Travel Plazas also launched the Choctaw Travel Plaza Scholarship Fund, which will allow community members to donate toward local tribal member scholarships by purchasing a commemorative 32-ounce cup at any Travel Plaza across the reservation.
“We are always looking for a way to improve our loyalty program to ensure members are part of something they truly feel is worth it,” said Misty Hendricks, executive director of commerce retail operations. “With the updates to Chahta Rewards, members will earn more and have a wider variety of redemption options.”
Visitors at Choctaw Travel Plazas can take a bit of the area’s rich heritage home by purchasing souvenirs made by Choctaw Nation members, such as medallions, beaded jewelry, stick balls and dream catchers. Read more about the Choctaw Landing Mercantile here.
