Philip Morris International (PMI) on Wednesday reported net revenues of $11.2 billion for the second quarter, while also saying it had launched new Zyn offerings in the United States.
Net revenues were up 10.4%, or 7.6% organically, compared to the quarter last year, an earnings release said.
“We delivered outstanding results in the second quarter, driving net revenues to over $11 billion for the first time with excellent growth across all headline metrics," said Group CEO Jacek Olczak in the release. "With a robust first half under our belt, including continued momentum and strong results in our smoke-free business, we are well positioned to deliver on our full-year targets while investing for future growth."
In the United States, the company also grew its Zyn portfolio in June with the first shipments of Zyn Ultra 9 mg and 11 mg moist variants with a lower price per pouch, the release said. The business also launched additional flavors in the Zyn dry flagship lineup.
“These launches are an important step in enhancing the portfolio and optimizing Zyn's price premium, ensuring Zyn can effectively play in the most dynamic growing segments of the category,” the release said.
The company plans to launch 1.5 mg and 8 mg dry variants in the third quarter.
“To support the newly expanded Zyn portfolio, we intend to accelerate U.S. investments in the second half to maximize the long-term value of the brand and also prepare for the future launch of IQOS ILUMA,” the release said.
PMI launched its IQOS heated tobacco device in 2025. A limited-edition IQOS Gold launched in select markets in December.
The release also noted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted modified risk tobacco product authorization on June 30 to the 20 Zyn products it authorized in January 2025.
On Wednesday’s earnings call, Group CFO Emmanuel Babeau also highlighted the new Zyn marketing campaign “When it clicks.”
“We are very, very enthused by the potential of this campaign to build further the emotion around the Zyn brand,” Babeau said.
