Walmart Opens 100th Company-Owned EV Charging Site

The charging experience is integrated into the Walmart app, and Walmart+ members receive discounted charging rates.

Walmart recently celebrated the opening of its 100th company-owned and operated EV fast-charging site, located at a Walmart Supercenter in Monument, Colorado. The charging experience is integrated into the Walmart app, and Walmart+ members receive discounted charging rates.

Most Walmart EV charging locations feature eight to 16 fast-charging stalls, with chargers capable of delivering up to 400 kW of power.

“Walmart is building its network around a simple goal: Bring fast, dependable charging to the places customers already shop, at prices they can count on. Walmart EV Chargers are now available at 100 stores across 20 states,” the chain said.

In 2025, Walmart remodeled 45 of its fuel stations across the U.S. Walmart operates more than 450 fuel locations.

Meanwhile in Texas, Refuel recently opened a new store in Easton Park. “We had to bring a little Longhorn spirit to South Austin. Proud of our team and all the hard work that went into getting this beautiful store open. Now it’s time to serve the Easton Park community,” said Travis Smith, co-CEO of Refuel, in a LinkedIn post.

In Utah, Maverik opened a new store in the City of St. George. “As the City of St. George continues to expand to the south, this new store is going to be a major hit and is definitely a needed addition for this growing area,” posted a Maverik employee on LinkedIn. “A massive thank you and shoutout to The Maverik Construction Team for delivering such an amazing, high-quality store on an incredible timeline. The Setup & Operations Teams for all the relentless hard work getting the site stocked, dialed in, and ready for customers.”
