What’s New in Sweet Treat Launches?
Mars launched a new Rice Krispies Treats Confetti Cake flavor and Ferrero’s Nutella Peanut hit shelves.

Mars’ Rice Krispies Treats has debuted its new Confetti Cake flavor. This cake-inspired twist on the classic bar features sprinkles colored from natural sources, vanilla-flavored drizzle and a sweet cake profile designed to tap into nostalgic appeal.
To support the launch, Mars is offering a limited-time chance for fans to win a “Celebration Kit,” which includes Confetti Cake and Original Rice Krispies Treats, festive accessories and instructions to build a cake-style creation.
Also at Mars, the Pop-Tarts brand is bringing its viral Edible Mascot ritual to Pittsburgh during the National Football League Draft. The event will take place on the city’s North Side, opening at 1:00 p.m. ET, with the main experience beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET. Fans can expect photo opportunities with the Pop-Tarts Protein Slammin’ Strawberry mascot and the giant Pop-Tarts Bowl toaster, culminating in the brand’s signature “Edible Mascot” moment.
At Ferrero, Nutella Peanut has launched nationwide, marking the brand’s first new flavor innovation in more than 60 years. The product blends Nutella’s signature cocoa hazelnut spread with roasted peanut flavor.
To celebrate, Ferrero will host a Nutella Peanut pop-up experience in New York City’s NoHo neighborhood on May 16–17. The interactive activation will feature games, prizes, personalized keepsakes and complimentary samples.
Meanwhile, Little Debbie has introduced its new Chocolate Old Fashioned Donuts, following strong demand for its original Old Fashioned Donuts launch in 2025. The new product will be available in both bulk and on-the-go formats.
Snacking behavior continues to rise, particularly among younger consumers. According to Mintel, about 20% of consumers snack three or more times per day, with Gen Z leading the trend and increasingly replacing traditional meals with snack options.
