The NACS Foundation is excited to introduce the first group of recipients for the Lisa Dell'Alba Convenience Industry Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship was created to honor Lisa’s remarkable legacy of mentorship, service and leadership at Square One Markets and throughout the convenience industry.

Individuals who have successfully completed the NACS Leadership for Success program were eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The first three recipients were announced at the NACS State of the Industry Summit this week and are:

  • Derek Emig from RaceTrac

  • Terry Hoffman from Zelmo's Zip In Convenience Stores

  • Alyssa Snyr from S. Abraham & Sons

They will attend Cornell University's Executive Leadership Program this summer, with full funding provided by the NACS Foundation’s Future Fund pillar.

Cornell University has also committed to match one seat each year for the next ten years.

These scholarships will help to shape future leaders and keep Lisa’s spirit alive in the industry.

“There was no part of Lisa that wasn’t about giving back. She was more than passionate about our industry—she was passionate about the people. She led by example and inspired and motivated so many people,” said Chairman Emeritus and CEO International of NACS, Henry Armour.
