ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Stewart’s Shops opened a rebuild last week in Great Bend, NY. “The new and expanded shop will make it easier to get supplies and food,” the retailer wrote in a press release.

There will be more parking, a new food bar, more space for grocery and snack items and expanded seating. The exterior will feature a sleeker, more modern look with stone siding.

As part of this rebuild, the site will have additional gas pumps for a quicker and easier in and out.

This rebuild is part of a $50 million construction investment for 2023. Stewart’s Shops plans seven rebuilds and nine new-to-market locations.

The store will celebrate with a grand opening on Friday, July 21.

Stewart’s Shops also announced that on Mother’s Day it will offer 99¢ single scoop cones. New seasonal flavors include Strawberry Sunrise Sherbet, Brownie Points and Very Berry Shortcake.

The retailer is also partnering with the New York Racing Association (NYRA), a horseracing organization. Stewart’s Shops will offer passes to the Saratoga Race Course and NYRA Bets gift cards. These cards are available in $50 denominations exclusively at Stewart’s Shops through the conclusion of the Saratoga meet (cash only; credit cards not accepted). They can be used to bet the Triple Crown series, as well as to fund both active and new NYRA Bets accounts.
