Circle K to Build New Stores and Update Others in Florida
The chain plans to have 50 locations in the state by the end of 2021.

TEMPE, Ariz.—Canada-based Alimentation Couche-Tard, the multinational operator of convenience stores, is scheduling face lifts for several Circle K locations in Northwest Florida, as well as construction of new stores, according to the Pensacola News Journal.
The company recently broke ground for new stores in the cities of Niceville and Perdido Key and has plans for new outlets in Pace and in the Cantonment/NW Pensacola area. All should be completed in 2021, bringing Northwest Florida’s store count to 50.
The new and upgraded locations will have walk-in beer caves, a wider variety of products, updated bathrooms and open floor plans. Circle K’s goal is to be the world’s preferred destination for convenience and fuel.
“We endeavor to make peoples’ lives just a little bit easier, every day,” said Trey Powell, vice president of the chain’s Gulf Coast business unit. “We’ve worked hard to deliver a truly differentiated customer experience in each of our new builds, one that includes large restrooms featuring touchless fixtures, glove and sanitizer dispensers at all fueling stations.
“Circle K is proud to serve the great communities in Northwest Florida for the better part of four decades,” he said. “We felt the time was right to start investing in new, ground-up stores for our valued customers, which really hadn’t been done here, at least with any scale, since the late ‘80s.”
Currently, Circle K has more than 550 convenience stores and 75 restaurants located throughout the Gulf Coast, including the Florida panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.
