ALEXANDRIA, Va.—A top concern of convenience and fuel retailers is labor, and NACS is looking to help retailers better understand this division within their businesses and how it stacks up against others in the convenience retailing realm. But NACS needs your help to do so and is asking retailers to complete the NACS State of the Industry Compensation Survey. Retailers will receive in turn:
The best labor metrics in the industry—for free. The turbulence of the 2020 labor market is unprecedented, and having the latest—and best—information at your fingertips is more critical than ever. Every company that completes the confidential survey will receive a complimentary copy of the report when it comes out in spring 2021. And, they will receive it at least a full week before it is available to purchase.
For more than 50 years, NACS research has provided critical benchmarking data that is submitted confidentially. These data allow businesses to benchmark their operations against the rest of the industry—and against top performers. This industry-best data will allow businesses owners to quickly assess the labor landscape they are up against and adjust strategies to optimize a very dynamic workforce economy.
A voice regarding advocacy. Labor is always a top issue in state capitals and on Capitol Hill, and it is expected to grow in importance in 2021. Convenience store retailers’ data allow NACS to present an industry-wide perspective on the industry and to address specific legislation while it is being debated. And, it allows NACS to support members in telling stories to the media while supporting the opportunity jobs’ message that NACS shares with reporters.
