Kwik Trip Rolls Out Doughnut-Flavored Chips

April Fool’s joke morphs into a new sweet and savory snack.

Jun 27, 2019

LA CROSSE, Wisc.–Kwik Trip, the 600-store chain based in Las Crosse, Wisconsin, has rolled out a new potato chip inspired by the company’s popular Glazers doughnuts, reports the Post Crescent.

The “sweet, savory and salty” chips, which come in 6-ounce bags for $1.99, are made from potatoes, canola and/or sunflower oil, sugar, brown sugar, milk and natural and artificial flavors.

The idea for the product originated from an April Fool’s joke three years ago. After some in-house brainstorming and experimentation, the sweet chips became a reality this month. They are being billed as a “limited time only” product.
