IRVINE, Calif. —After the success of its pop-up hotel—which opens later this month in Southern California—Taco Bell has teamed up with T-Mobile US to open three co-branded stores, Nation’s Restaurant News reports.
The three locations, called “T-MoBell,” will be in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, and will only be open for three days: July 23, 24 and 25. The stores will stock co-branded merchandise, such as stick-on wallets and taco-themed socks. In addition, T-MoBells will have free tacos and exclusive white cherry T-MoBell Freeze drinks.
“People love tacos. And they love their phones,” said John Legere, T-Mobile CEO. “T-MoBell is the ultimate fusion of those two loves, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve cooked up.”
Earlier this year, the two companies joined up for T-Mobile Tuesdays promotion. “We were just waiting for the perfect opportunity to make a partnership come to life, in a way that befits what our fans expect from us both,” said Marisa Thalberg, Taco Bell’s global chief brand officer.
The pop-up hotel in Palm Springs will welcome guests for four nights. The hotel, with 70 rooms, will have live performances from “Feed the Beat” artists, a nail salon with taco-inspirational art, a poolside Taco Bell menu and other themed hotel amenities.
