ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Want both inspiration and education at one superb session? That’s the idea behind the new educational Super Sessions at this year’s NACS Show. “We’re bringing in some fabulous paid speakers to attract show attendees who might not normally attend our regular education sessions,” said Jenna Collard, director of education engagement for NACS.
“The difference between these Super Sessions and a General Session is the content,” she continued. “A General Session is meant to be inspirational, but not necessarily industry specific. These super sessions are inspirational and industry specific.”
In “The Good Jobs Strategy” Super Session on Oct. 3, Zeynep Ton will address the changing retail landscape. To thrive in today’s competitive environment, convenience stores need strong processes, plus a motivated and capable workforce that can solve customer problems, interact with new technologies and drive performance.
Ton will draw on more than 15 years of research to describe the key elements of a system that drives such a workforce, satisfies loyal customers, turns in stellar financial performance and has the ability to successfully adapt to changes. She will inform attendees on how to successfully install that system in their own stores.
Visit the education session website for more details on the dozens of workshops available. Registration is now open for the 2019 NACS Show, scheduled for October 1-4 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
