Circle K Opens Its Largest Service Station

Ireland gets a 24/7 c-store, McDonald’s, play area, tourist info center and barista coffee service all in one.

COUNTY WEXFORD, Ireland —Circle K, Ireland’s major fuel and convenience retailer, has opened the largest service station in its global network in County Wexford, according to Petrolplaza.com.

In addition to selling petrol, the new facility offers electric-car charging stations, dedicated pumps for AdBlue and Gasoil customers, an extensive menu of deli food, Mexican street foods, barista coffee service, frozen drinks, a seated café, an indoor and outdoor children’s play area, a tourist information point, a McDonald’s restaurant and extensive parking for cars, trucks and coaches.

“Today is a momentous day for Circle K, as we open the largest Circle K in the entire global Circle K network,” said Niall Anderton, managing director of Circle K Ireland. “With this newest addition, we are delighted to bring 40 new jobs to the local area, which further reinforces Circle K’s ongoing commitment to investment and job creation in the Irish market.”

The facility is expected to serve up to 20,000 motorists a day. Two additional Circle K locations are slated to open in Ireland this year.
