Texas Declares State of Disaster
Recent flooding triggers emergency declaration and hours of service waiver.

On October 16, Texas issued a disaster proclamation, triggering a federal hours of service waiver that can be in effect for up to 30 days. The proclamation, issued in response to severe weather and flooding, covers the counties of Bastrop, Burnet, Colorado, Fayette, Hood, Jim Wells, Kerr, Kimble, La Salle, Live Oak, Llano, Mason, McMullen, Nueces, Real, San Patricio, Travis and Williamson.
