Mirabito Convenience Stores, a New York-based retailer, has purchased nine convenience stores in New York from the Quicklee’s brand, expanding its footprint in Western New York, according to a press release sent to NACS.
The retailer said the newly acquired stores will transition to the Mirabito brand this spring. The acquisition adds to Mirabito’s existing portfolio of more than 100 convenience stores across New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
“Expanding into Western New York represents an exciting opportunity for Mirabito,” said Marissa Sweeney, senior marketing director for Mirabito Holdings Inc. “Our goal has always been to provide communities with reliable fuel, quality food offerings and convenient shopping in stores that are welcoming and well-maintained. We look forward to bringing the Mirabito experience to these communities.”
Additionally, the retailer said customers visiting the newly acquired locations can expect “premium fuel products, fresh food and beverage options, wide assortment of snacks, drinks and grocery items, and car washes at four of the locations previously owned by Quicklee’s.”
Last year, Mirabito acquired another four stores in New York and Vermont from Stewart’s Shops.
Last month, Mirabito’s charitable arm, Mirabito Cares, raised $60,000 in a round up campaign for both The Upstate Foundation and Friends of Bassett, the retailer told NACS. Each organization will receive $30,000.
