Tiger Fuel Company Unveils Spirit Pump

Tiger Fuel Company, which operates Virginia-based The Markets by Tiger, recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the debut of a spirit pump initiative in partnership with the Charlottesville City-wide PTO Fund, according to the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.

From Wednesday, March 11 to July 31, 2026, one cent per gallon of each fill up from The Market at Preston’s Sprit Pump will support the Charlottesville City-wide PTO Fund in its mission to “increase funding to support academic enrichment and school programming, address inequities in PTO fundraising across all Charlottesville City schools and to amplify the overall impact for students and educators districtwide,” according to the release.

“Our new Spirit Pump turns the everyday action of fueling up into an opportunity to give back: a portion of proceeds from this special pump will directly support our Charlottesville City Schools,” Tiger Fuel said in a LinkedIn post.

“We love taking care of our employees, and we pride ourselves on providing the same benefits package to a cashier as to the president of the company. Putting that out there first and foremost for employees has really drawn them in,” said Shaleena Arreguin, HR director for the company.
