How You Can Honor Everyday Heroes On 24/7 Day

Join NACS for a webinar on January 27 to learn more about the annual event.

January 23, 2026

NACS 24/7 Day, the annual community event hosted by the NACS Foundation, is designed to help retailers give back and celebrate the first responders, personnel and American Red Cross volunteers that support their communities around the clock. Participating in 24/7 Day can enhance your brand’s community relations, boost brand visibility and contribute to a meaningful cause.

Join NACS for an informational webinar, “24/7 Day 2026: Honoring Heroes, Expanding Our Impact, Deepening Our Reach” on Tuesday, January 27 at 2:00 p.m. EST. This webinar is designed for new and returning retail and supplier partners interested in participating in this impactful nationwide event.

Katy Hart, marketing director at Hop Shops, will speak about her past 24/7 Day experience and the positive impact 24/7 Day had on Hop Shops’ businesses and local communities. Hart will also share how Hop Shops honored one of its local first responders, Charles “Carl” Biery Sr., an 80-year-old American Red Cross volunteer from the Cincinnati area who has served for 55 years. Biery was the winner of the inaugural NACS First Responder of the Year award. David Biery, Carl Biery’s son, manages a Hop Shops store in Kentucky. In 2025, NACS also awarded two other first responder of the year awards after receiving over 70 nominations.

The webinar will also provide step-by-step guidance for retailers on how to join the 2026 campaign, including promotional strategies and available resources to maximize participation such as the media grants NACS awards to participating retailers; as well as how suppliers can support retailers in their 24/7 Day efforts, become a signature partner or support the First Responder of the Year award.
