Parker’s Kitchen hosted a special ribbon cutting and 50th anniversary kick-off earlier this month to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s new store in Port Wentworth, Georgia.

With 6,065 square feet of retail space, the company’s new store is the first “PK2 prototype,” offering a larger store design with an angled food area, bigger Beer Cave and a deeper store footprint. The company said its newest store features Lowcountry-inspired architecture, a limewashed brick exterior, gas-lit lanterns, high-end fixtures, designer lighting and state-of-the-art restrooms.

The newest Parker’s Kitchen serves Southern-inspired Parker’s Kitchen food. In addition, the new Port Wentworth store “is the first Parker’s Kitchen location to offer the company’s made-to-order beverage program in partnership with Botrista … with made-to-order iced coffees, frozen coffees, smoothies, boba chillers and energy drinks, which are available in a wide range of flavors with delicious add-ons like boba and whipped cream.”

Over at Wawa, the retailer opened its very first branded EV chargers at its Alachua, Florida, location, according to an employee post on LinkedIn.

“This debut installation features 16 charging positions equipped with Tesla's state-of-the-art V4 325 kW Supercharger equipment. Customers can expect all the great features they know and love through the Supercharger network, including seamless navigation, preferred payment options, the convenience of Plug and Charge, live availability updates, real-time wait times, preconditioning and comprehensive driver support in addition to enjoying all the convenience and amenities offered at Wawa. We are extremely excited to provide this exceptional EV charging experience for our customers,” the post said.

Meanwhile, Sheetz recently opened a new location in Lower Allen, Pennsylvania, according to a LinkedIn post from an employee.
