Chestnut Market, a family-owned convenience store chain operating 80 locations across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, has partnered with Lula Commerce to launch third-party digital ordering and delivery across its store network, Lula Commerce told NACS in an email. The rollout will be phased across Chestnut Market's locations.
Through the partnership, customers will be able to order items for delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. Lula Commerce will centralize and manage Chestnut Market’s digital operations end to end, including menu setup, inventory syncing, order management and marketplace optimization. Lula highlighted that this is done from a single, unified system.
Lula will manage all third-party marketplace relationships, ensure menu accuracy across channels and provide reporting and analytics to Chestnut Market, it said.
“The partnership represents the next step in Chestnut Market's broader digital strategy. The chain recently launched its Chestnut Rewards loyalty program and has continued investing in technology across its stores, including AI-powered self-checkout and personalized digital marketing. Adding third-party delivery through Lula extends that digital experience beyond the store walls,” Lula said.
“Our customers rely on us for quality, convenience and consistency every day,” said Abigail Cerra, director of marketing, loyalty and communications at Chestnut Market. “Expanding into delivery allows us to meet them where they are and makes it even easier to access our brand. Lula brings the operational expertise we need to execute at scale, while allowing our team to stay focused on what we do best: delivering a great customer experience.”
