TravelCenters of America (TA), part of the BP portfolio, recently hosted a charity event at Springvale Golf Course, Ohio, benefitting St. Christopher’s Trucker Relief Fund and TAT (formerly Truckers Against Trafficking). TA said this year's donation of over $200,000 exceeded last year's contribution.

TA said 144 golfers, 40 dedicated volunteers and a mix of company leadership and guests turned up for the event.

“We are deeply grateful to TravelCenters of America for hosting the annual golf tournament in support of the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund. The funds raised will make a meaningful difference in the lives of professional drivers and their families during times of need. TA’s commitment to the driver community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to be the beneficiary of their generosity,” said Courtney Niemann, executive director, St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund.

“TAT is extremely grateful to TA for their generosity and commitment to fighting human trafficking. Throughout America, TA employees are helping survivors access resources and reporting tips to law enforcement that further the investigation and prosecution of traffickers. Through training their employees, posting signage, co-hosting events with TAT and making financial contributions that fuel this life saving work, TAT commends TA’s leadership, dedication and impact,” said Esther Goetsch, TAT executive director.

In other recent TA news, earlier this month the retailer installed touch screen ordering kiosks at 45 Popeyes locations—13 pole-mounted units and 32 countertop units.

TA said it continues to expand the initiative, with plans to install kiosks at 66 Popeyes locations by the end of 2025. “This expansion is set to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction across all participating sites,” the retailer said.
