SunStop has partnered with the Florida State Seminoles and Florida State Athletics department to serve food at sports games, the retailer told NACS. Through a partnership with Legends Hospitality, the retailer is introducing a ‘Fresh Eats’ concept and menu lineup at Florida State University’s Doak Campbell Stadium.

SunStop said its offerings are available at two locations in the stadium: the main concourse on the west side and the south endzone concession stand. Menu highlights include chicken Caesar wraps and buffalo chicken wraps, as well as turkey and provolone and ham and Swiss subs served on Hawaiian rolls, plus fresh baked cookies.

“At SunStop, we are foodies at heart. Quality and freshness are very important to us,” said Michelle Weckstein, director of food and beverage brands for SunStop. “We’ve gone to great lengths to source sub rolls that stay fresh when refrigerated and we’ve partnered with the leader in sweet Hawaiian bread to create sandwiches that are both delicious and satisfying. Real fresh food is our passion, and we are excited to have our sandwiches and other items sold at the stadium.”

SunStop’s subs will also be available at FSU softball, baseball and soccer concessions stands. “This partnership allows people who might not otherwise consider SunStop a chance to try our food,” Weckstein added. “When they do, they will realize we don’t serve gas station food. We have real food, and it’s really good food!”

With 81 stores across the Southeast, SunStop said it is continuing to grow its footprint in Tallahassee, Florida, and is currently operating six stores locally with a seventh set to open next year.
