York, Pennsylvania-based Rutter’s is supporting the local families of fallen and injured law enforcement officers through its service fund, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.

“In response to the recent tragic loss and injuries suffered by members of the Northern York County Regional Police Department and the York County Sheriff’s Office, Rutter’s is proud to support the existing Honor Their Service Fund, which provides assistance to the families and officers affected,” Rutter’s said.

As of September 15, Rutter’s said it has been facilitating donations for the Honor Their Service Fund by placing donation canisters at all York County store locations. The fund, administered through The York County Safety Collaborative in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies and their officers’ and deputies’ associations, provides both immediate assistance and long-term support to those impacted by this tragedy.

To encourage support, Rutter’s said anyone who donates will receive a free American flag while supplies last. Rutter’s Children’s Charities will match 100% of all in-store donations raised through the effort, up to $100,000.

Rutter’s also offered a complimentary meal offer—consisting of a sandwich, drink and side—to all law enforcement officers at York County stores through Sunday, September 28, 2025. “This extension reflects our commitment to show continued support for our community and to welcome law enforcement officers visiting York County to pay their respects. The offer is redeemable by officers in uniform or by showing their badge,” Rutter’s said.

In other recent Rutter’s news, the retailer is celebrating the return of fall with the limited release Haunted Harvest Pumpkin Spice Ale.

The LTO beer is brewed by Rusty Rail Brewing Company in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, and is infused with pumpkin, vanilla and warming spices, an “ode to crisp evenings and cozy gatherings.” This is Rutter’s and Rusty Rail’s second time teaming up for the LTO.
