Kwik Trip opened its new distribution center in DeForest, Wisconsin, earlier this month, according to local outlet WXOW.
The new facility is 280,000 square feet and sits on a 150-acre parcel of land purchased by the company early in 2025, according to the report. The facility includes freezer, cooler and dry goods space in addition to four conditioning rooms for banana ripening. It will reportedly service 350 area Kwik Trip stores.
“Prior to the development of the facility, all Kwik Trip stores were serviced by the distribution center located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The additional building promises to reduce the cost of distribution for stores in Kwik Trip's southern range,” the outlet wrote.
“As Kwik Trip continues to expand its footprint, ensuring our stores receive the products they need, efficiently and reliably, remains a top priority,” said Scott Zietlow, CEO and president of Kwik Trip. “The opening of our new distribution center represents a major step forward in supporting our growth as a company.”
Kwik Trip also said the center has themed conference rooms and a “History Hallway,” per a LinkedIn post.
