Buc-ee’s will open its third location in Georgia this summer on July 1, marking its largest location in the state, according to Fox5 Atlanta. The 74,000-square-foot travel center in Glynn County will have more than 120 gas pumps and is expected to employ more than 200 people.

EG America opened an EV charging station at a Cumberland Farms location in Orange Beach, Alabama this week. The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) provided funding for the station’s construction as part of its EV infrastructure program, which pays for up to 80% of a station’s construction through grant funding, EG America said in a press release.

“We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with ADECA that helped bring this charging station to our Cumberland Farms location here in Orange Beach,” said Maurice Mallard, district sales manager for EG America. “This new charging station further solidifies this store as a one-stop convenience destination, allowing our guests who use electric vehicles to stop in, charge up and continue enjoying their time in Orange Beach. With this new addition, we’re looking forward to continuing to deliver unmatched value to our guests.”

Wawa is opening its first store in Indiana today, the company posted on LinkedIn. Wawa also expects to open stores in Indianapolis, Westfield, Plainfield and Cumberland by the end of 2025, reported local outlet WRTV Indianapolis. It will also open a store in Brownsburg this year, despite the construction site catching fire last month.

"Expect us to open 8 to 12 stores every year per year for the next five years," Wawa Chief Real Estate Officer John Poplawski told the outlet. "That's 60 stores in Indiana over the next five years."

Sheetz is aiming to reach 1,000 store locations by 2027, a Sheetz employee posted on LinkedIn. “Behind the scenes, we’re actively mapping out our path to this exciting milestone—and it’s all coming to life with the help of our amazing teams and communities.”

The retailer opened two stores in Ohio this week in Columbus and Galloway. The grand openings featured prizes for guests, who were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate.

Royal Farms announced that the grand opening of its newest location in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, will occur on June 9. The 24/7 store will have 16 fuel dispensers, a car wash and Royal Farms’ signature chicken and other prepared food.

Royal Farms will host a special, ticketed “Get Ready to ROFO” soft opening event on June 4 and 5, inviting the community to preview the new store and receive a complimentary meal from the soft opening menu.

Foxtrot will also open its first new-to-industry store today after it shut down all of its locations last year, reported CBS Chicago. The Chicago location joins existing reopened stores in the city and in Dallas under the direction of founder Mike LaVitola. It will feature a 25-seat patio.
