Applegreen Electric has brought more electric vehicle (EV) charging to the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, according to a LinkedIn post.

“We launched eight Ultra-Fast Charging locations with Autocharge available, supporting CCS and NACS connectors at speeds of up to 400 kW of power. To celebrate, we’re offering special promotion pricing: $0.35 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) via the Applegreen Electric app, and $0.40 per kWh for Tap & Go users,” Applegreen said in the post. The company added that by the end of 2026, it is “on track to achieve 100% EV charging coverage across all New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway service areas.”

Minuteman Food Mart announced its newest location in Vass, North Carolina, currently under construction and set to open in early summer 2025 according to a press release sent to NACS.

“We are excited to expand into such a wonderful and growing community,” said Ed Bitondo, vice president, convenience store operations. “This new site reflects our continued focus on growth, service and delivering what our guests want most—speed, quality and convenience.”

Once open, the Vass location will feature “a full Minuteman Kitchen offering fresh food— including our new Minuteman Kitchen Chicken, a Chill Zone with fountain drinks, the Minuteman Brew coffee program and a Little Caesars Express and more guest favorites.”

Elsewhere, Love’s Travel Stops is now serving customers in Wilmington, Illinois, and Carlin, Nevada, with two new travel stops that opened last week, according to a press release. “The addition of these travel stops adds 140 truck parking spaces in total to Love’s network. In addition, the travel stops bring a total of 110 jobs added to the communities they operate in,” Love’s said.

In honor of the grand openings, Love’s will donate $5,000 to Kuzma Care Cottage Food Pantry and $5,000 to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago; and $5,000 to Carlin Combined Schools and $5,000 to Primary Children’s Hospital.

Maverik posted on LinkedIn about its newest location in Cañon City, Colorado. “Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to bring Adventure’s First Stop to even more communities, and we can’t wait to welcome locals and travelers alike,” Maverik said in the post.
