Casey’s has plans to expand in Texas, and reportedly has submitted 21 filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation since 2024, reported local Texas outlet My San Antonio.
“The locations and completion dates have been pulled from the respective TDLRs. All TDLRs are subject to change without notice,” My San Antonio said.
According to the outlet, Casey’s has plans to enter Grayson County in North Texas, along the Oklahoma border. The Sherman location at 3021 N. Highway 75 was the first store filed and was expected to be completed in March. That was followed by a store in Denison at 3029 Texoma Drive, with an expected completion in August.
Meanwhile, My San Antonio said stores at 224 S. Collins Road, Sunnyvale (November 17) and 2202 W. US Hwy 380, Decatur, (February 1, 2026) have been added to the North Texas plan in 2025.
The retailer has five East Texas locations that are currently in the works. “Two in Gregg County—885 N. Main St., Gladewater, (December 22) and 1009 N. Kilgore St., Kilgore, (December 31)—along with NEC S. Kings Hwy & W. 7th St., Texarkana, (November 1), State Highway 31, Athens (December 22) and 1381 W. Industrial Drive, Sulphur Springs (February 1, 2026).”
Elsewhere, “Burnet was announced as Casey's first foray into the Texas Hill Country. The store at NWC Hwy. 281 at Johnson St., Burnet, is aiming to be completed by October 31.
Two Casey’s are planned in Waco, south of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro—one at 3001 Gholson Road, Waco, and the other at 6201 Bagby Ave., Waco. Both are aiming to be completed by February 1, 2026.
So far Casey’s West Texas investment is focused solely on Abilene with three locations in the works, reported the outlet.
The first was announced at northeast corner of Buffalo Gap Road at Beltway S., Abilene, (November 24), followed by 8471 South FM 707, Abilene, (December 15) and most recently at 2824 E. Overland Trail, Abilene (February 1, 2026).
These locations come after Casey’s announced the closing of its acquisition of Fikes Wholesale, owner of CEFCO Convenience Stores, on November 1, 2024.
Casey’s said that the acquisition would bring 148 additional stores to Texas, which it said is “a highly strategic market” for Casey’s, as well as add 50 stores in the southern states of Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
