Pennsylvania-based Rutter’s announced it is partnering with Monster to “host its first ever UFC Fight Night watch party at its new location in Johnstown, Pennsylvania [on Saturday, July 19]. The event —airing UFC Fight #318 Holloway v Poirier on PPV—will have no cover charge,” the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.
The watch party, called Monster Fan Fest, will feature Monster Models and the Monster sampling team. The beverage company will be serving up tastings of Monster’s latest alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at Rutter’s 1747 Bar & Gaming Lounge.
“There will be a special food menu and swag giveaways for patrons, and the event will serve as a drop-off point for entries into a sweepstakes. Sweepstakes prizes include four tickets to an upcoming UFC fight in New York’s Madison Square Garden, a free Yeti cooler, a JBL speaker and more,” the retailer said.
“This is a phenomenal opportunity for Rutter’s to showcase our groundbreaking bar and lounge concept, while offering our customers more of what they love to drink. Many of Rutter’s customers are Monster fans, so this partnership with Monster is a natural fit,” said Chris Hartman, Rutter’s vice president of fuel, marketing and development.
Rutter’s also has an exclusive food and beverage menu planned for the event. The menu includes specials such as Fight Night Feast (sliders, wings, jalapeño poppers and cheese curds), Monster & Munchies (Monster drink with two hot dogs and fries) and a Beast Bucket (four 12-ounce variety Monster Beast Cans).
Rutter’s 1747 Bar & Gaming Lounges feature 20 65-inch TVs, five video gaming terminals and a selection of adult beverages. The concept was unveiled earlier this year at the Johnstown store opening, with the company saying more are planned as the company continues to expand its footprint and open new stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
The Rutter’s Milton location will also air the fight in its bar area.
